Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

Sean Winter opened to 4,500 on the button and Timothy Adams three-bet to 21,000 from the big blind. Winter then four-bet to 45,000 and Adams five-bet all in for 146,000. Winter called.

Sean Winter: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Timothy Adams: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {2-Spades}{j-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} giving no help to Adams, and he was eliminated.

Petrangelo Eliminated by Davies

Nível 3 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Nick Petrangelo
Nick Petrangelo

Timothy Adams raised to 3,500 in the hijack and Nick Petrangelo called in the cutoff. Seth Davies three-bet to 15,000 on the button and Adams folded, while Petrangelo called. On the {6-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop, Petrangelo checked and called a bet of 14,000 by Davies before doing so again for 26,000 on the {K-Diamonds} turn.

The {J-Hearts} appeared on the river and Petrangelo got his last 39,000 in, Davies called and was shown the {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts} by Petrangelo. Davies held the better kicker in {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts} and Petrangelo became the first casualty of the day.

Smith Gets Paid Off by Peters

Nível 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Dan Smith
Dan Smith

In the last hand of the level over on table one, which in fact lasted six minutes into the break, the action started rather innocent with a three-way flop of {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{4-Spades}. David Peters had checked out of the big blind and Adrian Mateos bet 3,000, Dan Smith called in the cutoff. Peters check-raised to 14,000 and Mateos folded, however, Smith came along.

The {Q-Spades} appeared on the turn and Peters slowed down, checked. Smith used almost all of his 30 seconds to act and bet 14,000, which Peters called. After the {10-Clubs} river, Peters quickly checked and Smith used one time bank to give himself more room for consideration. He then bet 50,000 and Peters quickly tossed in a single chip for the call.

Smith rolled over the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} for a full house and scooped a decent pot.

Fatehi Pays Off Badziakouski

Nível 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Mikita Badziakouski
Mikita Badziakouski

Joining the action on the {10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop in a battle big blind versus under the gun, Mikita Badziakouski and Ali Reza Fatehi both invested 10,000 to see the {8-Spades} on the turn. Badziakouski now bet 20,000 and was called before the {A-Clubs} fell on the river.

Badziakouski let his shot clock run down to two seconds and announced a bet of 100,000, with Fatehi snap-calling. Badziakouski rolled over {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} for a set of tens and dragged in the biggest pot of the day thus far.

One year ago, under the umbrella of the PokerStars Championship, the Super High Roller came with a buy-in of €50,000 and PokerStars Team Pro Igor Kurganov claimed the title and payday after defeating Bartlomiej Machon in heads-up to claim the lion's share of the €4,129,290 prize pool in an 86-entry strong field, taking home €1,084,100 for his efforts. Other previous winners here in Barcelona include German superstar Fedor Holz, Sylvain Loosli, Olivier Busquet, Vitaly Lunkin and Dan Smith.
