Orpen Kisacikoglu Eliminated in 12th Place

Nível 12 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Orpen Kisacikoglu
Orpen Kisacikoglu

Orpen Kisacikoglu opened for 26,000, Liang Xu made it 56,000 in the cutoff and Kisacikoglu came back with 150,000. Xu thought slightly into his time bank and then made it 305,000. Kisacikoglu jammed and Xu sighed and slid his chips in.

Liang Xu: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Orpen Kisacikoglu: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

Xu was good for the moment, though. The {10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop brought a sweat but the {6-Spades} turn ended hopes of a winning flush for Kisacikoglu. The river was the {k-Diamonds}, not enough for him. He had just under the 681,000 in Xu's stack.

Lucas Reeves Eliminated in 13th Place

Nível 12 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Lucas Reeves
Lucas Reeves

Down to his last 172,000 in chips, Lucas Reeves shoved from the hijack. Small blind Matthias Eibinger tossed in a 25,000-chip to call, the big blind folded.

Matthias Eibinger: {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}
Lucas Reeves: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}

While the {J-Diamonds} in the window was a good card for Reeves, the {10-Hearts} that followed meant he was in a lot of trouble. The {6-Clubs} that completed the flop was of no help. The {5-Clubs} hit the turn and the {K-Clubs} on the river proved no help for Reeves either and he said "GG" before exiting the tournament area.

Sam Greenwood Eliminated in 14th Place

Nível 12 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Sam Greenwood
Sam Greenwood

Sam Greenwood completed the blind after counting out his stack of about 230,000. Charlie Carrel set him in and Greenwood quickly called off and tabled {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

"Bad read," Carrel said, showing {j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. "Good flop," he added hopefully.

Indeed, he paired on the {q-Spades}{5-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and left Greenwood in bad shape. The {7-Clubs} turn and {3-Hearts} river left the Canadian crusher dry on chips.

Tuan Tran Eliminated in 15th Place

Nível 11 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Tuan Tran
Tuan Tran

While the two were still bantering a bit, Charlie Carrel and Tuan Tran got involved in an all in.

Tran, seated under the gun, opened with a raise to 25,000. Carrel, who said he was disappointed Tran hadn't sung for him in the previous all in hand, three-bet to 75,000. The action folded back around to Tran who used two time bank chips before pushing all in for 310,000. Carrel, who had Tran covered by a margin of 25,000, instantly called.

Tuan Tran: {K-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Charlie Carrel: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

Tran, who started the day second in chips and had quite the rollercoaster so far, asked for a king. He got none: {6-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{A-Spades}{A-Hearts}.

Tran, who made a little party out of his tournament, eliminated. Down to fourteen players now, still eight from the money.

Greenwood Doubles Xu

Nível 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Liang Xu
Liang Xu

Sam Greenwood opened to 19,000 under the gun and Liang Xu on the button three-bet to 50,000. Both blinds opted to fold and Greenwood called to see a flop.

Greenwood checked on {6-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Xu bet 50,000. Greenwood shoved and Xu snap called for 308,000 total.

Liang Xu: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Sam Greenwood: {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}

The {K-Spades} on the turn was a good card for Greenwood but the {6-Clubs} on the river rendered that turn irrelevant. Double up for Xu, back to just over starting stack for Greenwood.

Kisacikoglu Busts Soyza and Margereson in Thriller Hand

Nível 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Orpen Kisacikoglu
Orpen Kisacikoglu

Orpen Kisacikoglu opened the pot with a raise from early position and found callers in two positions; Christopher Soyza in the hijack and Scott Margereson on the button.

The flop of {6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{K-Hearts} saw initial raiser Kisacikoglu check. Soyza made a bet of around 30,000 and Margereson called. Kisacikoglu now check-raised to 150,000 and Soyza shoved for 160,000 total. Margereson over shoved for 299,000 and Kisacikoglu, having thought it over for a bit, eventually called to put of his opponents at risk.

Christopher Soyza: {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Scott Margereson: {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Orpen Kisacikoglu: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}

The {K-Diamonds} on the turn paired the board but it was the {A-Diamonds} on the river that made for the true uproar.

"Sickness," Soyza said about the hand, "So sick!"

Margereson and Soyza got up and left, Kisacikoglu started building massive new tours of chips.

Schwippert Triples Up

Jan Schwippert, pictured in an earlier event.
Jan Schwippert, pictured in an earlier event.

Jan Schwippert had 52,000 in front of him under the gun, and Matthias Eibinger had made it 152,000. Big blind Tuan Tran had 352,000 out there and Schwippert moved in for 265,000. Eibinger called the 352,000 and he and Tran saw the {4-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop. Tran slid in 175,000 and Eibinger immediately folded.

"I guess I win," Schwippert said, showing {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}.

Tran showed {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and it ran out {j-Spades}, {7-Spades} so he took the small side pot while Schwippert dragged the massive main.

Pollak Busts to Reeves

Nível 9 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Benjamin Pollak
Benjamin Pollak

In one of the first hands of the day, Benjamin Pollak lost his stack to Lucas Reeves.

Pollak opened for 14,000 and called as Reeves three-bet to 40,000. Pollak check-called 30,000 on {2-Spades}{K-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} before they both checked the {2-Spades} on the turn.

The {10-Hearts} river saw Pollak check again. Reeves pushed for about 175,000 and Pollak went into the tank. He used two time bank cards before he called.

Reeves showed {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} for the winner, Pollak mucked his {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}.
