Canadian Mike McDonald's deep run in the EPT12 Malta Main Event ended earlier this afternoon with a 27th-place finish for €17,840.
That's only a couple grand short of two bullets here in the High Roller and McDonald has already fired the first. He's dipped down to 38,000 after a slow start, but if things continue trending that way and he goes broke, he should have no problem coming up with the remaining scratch.
He won the €25,000 + 750 High Roller here at EPT Malta for €498,575 less than a week ago and actually became the EPT's all-time money leader overnight with $6,228,104 in earnings. This, until Steve O'Dwyer passed him with a win in the second High Roller on the schedule here.
If all else fails, his friends might be able to help:

~11 people in my Skype group came to Malta. We've won both major events and 7 remain nearing the ME bubble. Apologies to the poker economyFollow @MikeMcDonald89
