Picking up with the action on a flop of , Igor Kurganov checked over to Philipp Gruissem who fired out a bet of 56,000. Kurganov called which allowed the to hit the felt on fourth street. Kurganov checked for a second time and this time Gruissem followed suit.
The finished the board on fifth street and Kurganov rapped the table once more. Gruissem announced an all in bet of 225,000 which sent Kurganov into the tank. Over three minutes passed while Kurganov pondered his action. Eventually, he decided to let go of his cards and Gruissem picked up the pot. The German now has 483,000 in chips.
From the cutoff seat, Antonio Esfandiari raised to 26,000. Justin Bonomo called on the button, and the flop came down . Esfandiari fired a continuation bet of 32,000, and Bonomo raised all in for roughly 210,000. Esfandiari folded, and Bonomo picked up the pot.

Max Altergott told Mizzi that he folded a queen, upsetting the Canadian a bit, and the flop came . McDonald was in great shape to record the knockout with a flopped set of sevens, and the hand was all over when the turned. A meaningless completed the board, and Mizzi hit the rail.

Finger slowed with a check and McDonald took this opportunity to lead for 100,000. Finger moved all in over the top for what looked to be around 450,000 and McDonald snapped him off.
McDonald tabled for trip fives which was well ahead of Finger's . The completed the board and McDonald was able to score the elimination. He's now sitting on about 1.23 million.
