Good Start for Glantz

Nível 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

With over 3,500 already in the middle, we came across a hand in which Matt Glantz was heads up with Antonio Matias. The board read {5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Glantz fired out a bet of 2,500. Matias called to see the river which was the {K-Diamonds}.

Glantz dipped into his stack and came out with a river bet of 6,500. Matias let go of his cards and Glantz picked up the pot. He's now sitting on about 37,000 in chips.

Greenstein Picks One Up

Nível 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Early on in Level 1, Team PokerStars Pro Barry Greenstein raised to 300 from the cutoff seat, and the button and big blind both made the call to see the flop come down {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. The big blind checked, and Greenstein bet 500. The button called, and the big blind folded.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds}, and both players checked to see the {A-Hearts} land on the river. Greenstein fired 1,500, and the button folded.

Selbst Can't Beat Aces

Nível 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

The cutoff seat raised to 300 before Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst reraised to 900 on the button. The cutoff called, and the flop came down {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades}. The cutoff seat checked, and Selbst bet 1,100. She was called.

The {2-Clubs} landed on the turn, and both players checked to see the {10-Clubs} complete the board on the river. The cutoff bet 3,200, and Selbst eventually made the call.

The cutoff seat tabled {A-}{A-}, and Selbst couldn't beat it, mucking her hand and losing the pot.

Two Hands from Table 58

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Prior to the level change, Paul Volpe opened to 300 from under the gun, Samuel Bernabeu called in position, and both blinds released. The dealer fanned {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, Volpe continued for 450, and Bernabeu called.

The turn was the {8-Hearts}, Volpe checked, and Bernabeu took the opportunity to bet 700. Volpe called. A repeat eight - the {8-Clubs} - completed the board, and Volpe checked once more. Bernabeu fired out 1,025, and Volpe tank-folded.

When Bernabeu mucked his hand, it looked like he tried to hold it high enough for Volpe to get a peak.

"What was it?" Volpe asked. "I didn't see it."

Bernabeu looked confused, Volpe inquired once more, and Bernabeu shrugged it off.

The very next hand, Daniel Laidlaw raised to 300 from early position, Vanessa Selbst called on his direct left, Daniel Weinman called on the button, and Volpe defended his big blind. The flop came {3-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, Laidlaw continued for what looked like 400, and only Weinman called.

The turn was the suicide king ({k-Hearts}), and Laidlaw led out for 2,100. Weinman quickly called.

The {4-Spades} completed the board, Laidlaw fired a third and final bullet worth 5,600, and Weinman tanked for nearly 90 seconds before making the call. Laidlaw showed {a-Spades}{k-Spades} for top two, but it was no good against Weinman's {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} for a flopped set of eights.

Shugai's Kings Crack Pham's Aces

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Picking up the action in the midst of the preflop raises, action is on Kirill Shugai. He had previously reraised to 4,400 out of the small blind and was facing a reraise from Cong Pham in the big blind to 10,300. After about two minutes in the tank, Shugai shoved for effectively 30,800.

Pham called immediately with {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}, well ahead of Shugai's {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}. However, the flop fell {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{4-Hearts} giving Shugai quad kings. Pham found no miracle turn and river as the {7-Diamonds} turn and {6-Spades} river ended his PCA Main Event.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds}, and the first player checked. Mercier bet 1,300, and his opponent folded.

Ramdin Scoops Huge Pot with Top Two

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

We arrived at the table to see Victor Ramdin and an opponent looking down at a completed board of {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}. There was well over 11,000 already in the middle of the table and Ramdin was facing a bet of 8,500 from his opponent. He riffled chips and stirred in his seat while he thought on a decision. A moment passed.

"Alright," said Ramdin. "I want to see it."

He flung calling chips forward and showed {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} for top two pair. His opponent tossed his hand into the muck and Ramdin dragged in the pot. The Team PokerStars Pro now has about 52,000 in chips.
