Perger the Purger

Nível 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Jamila Von Perger
Jamila Von Perger

She already won the Ladies' Event earlier this week but Jamila von Perger has clearly not finished yet. She just eliminated Philippe Olivier, albeit with a stroke of luck.

von Perger: {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Olivier: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and von Perger's flush took the pot while the Frenchman left, muttering to himself.

Nitsche put to the Sword by Dartagnan

Nível 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Dominik Nitsche
Dominik Nitsche

Our thanks to JP Kelly for telling us how Dominik Nitsche busted, the two were sat side by side so Kelly had a front row seat. "He raised with ace-king and seat five (Christophe Dartagnan) called. The flop was K-J-7, Dominik bet, Dartagnan raised and Dominik went with it. Nitsche had A-K and Dartagnan had jacks," he said. "Dominik only had about 25 big blinds to start the hand," he added.

So that all means that Team PokerStars Pro Eugene Katchalov is the only player who can complete the Triple Crown here in Deauville.

Williams Rollercoaster Ride

Nível 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

David Williams, a UK PokerStars qualifier, seemed to be a bit upset about the manner in which the dealer had made some change from his stack, a little distracted even. He had a stack of around 15k. So began his rollercoaster next few hands. He was in the big blind and faced a bet of 3,200 from Bruno"Kool Shen" Lopes. Williams made the call and they saw a flop of {k-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. William’s checked and when Lopes bet 5,000, Williams check-raised all in. Lopes snapped him off with {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} against the {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} of Williams who was drawing thin. The turn was the {4-Hearts} and the river {4-Diamonds}. Williams was left with 600. And a chair.

Williams was automatically all in on the next hand in the small blind, and with two other players pushing the action preflop it looked like he was doomed. A flop of {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} and a bet from Lopes forcing the other player out meant the cards were turned up. Lopes had {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Williams had {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}. No matter; the turn {k-Spades} and river{a-Diamonds} soon sorted that out. Williams was still in with 2,500.

Williams shoved the next hand with {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts} got two callers and won again. Good God, what a story. He could go on to win this whole event. Next hand he grabs his stack, yellows T1000s in the left, black T100s in the right. Over the line they go, but no, the dealer rules it’s a string bet and only the yellows will count.

Anders Pedersen saved the day with a raise though, and all the chips did go in. Pedersen had raised with {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and was racing against the {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} of Williams. Could he do it again? The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades}{10-Hearts}. The last card counterfeiting Williams pair and robbing him of another double up.

What a few minutes in his tournament. He took it in good spirits saying it was nice playing with the table and wishing them luck.

Even an Extra Community Card Can't Help Sfez

Nível 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

On the turn of a {6-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} board, Eric Sfez set David Zakine all in and was instantly called.

Zakine: {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}
Sfez: {K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Sfez was drawing dead as the dealer put out the {9-Clubs} on the river. But then she didn't stop there and ended up dealing a sixth card (the sea?) which was the {3-Clubs}. Either way, Zakine doubled up while Sfez was left nursing a short stack.

Leguito nas 180,000

Nível 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Renato Almeida
Renato Almeida

A big blind fez call e o raiser inicial abandona a mão.

O river foi um {10-} e o villain vai all in com {j-Clubs}{2-Clubs} e recebe call do português que acaba por "agasalhar" o pote. "Outro estilo" diz Leguito

Boyaciyan Busted

Nível 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
David Boyaciyan
David Boyaciyan

EPT Prague serial final tabler David Boyaciyan has just been eliminated from the tournament.

Mitch Johnson from the UK opened the hijack and Frenchman Laurent Bachelet in the cutoff made the call. Dutchman David Boyaciyan on the button opted to call as well but Joel Ferando Durfort in the small blind had other plans. He squeezed and scared away Johnson and Bachelet. Boyaciyan however called and they saw a flop heads up.

{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

Durfort continued with a bet of 25,000 and Boyaciyan made the call. The turn was the {5-Hearts} and Durfort now pushed all in. Boyaciyan would be at risk if he called and did just so. Boyaciyan was in trouble as his {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds} was up against Durfort's {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}.

The river was the {9-Spades} and for a millisecond Boyaciyan thought he had delivered a suck out. He quickly realised the {5-Hearts} on the turn had counterfeited him as his two pair was no good against the higher two pair. He wished the table good luck and gracefully left for the exit.
