EPT9 San Remo runner up Jason Lavallee had a shorter break than most after he waited most of it while David Breitfus tanked.
Andrey Gulyy opened to 300 from under the gun and was three-bet to 750 from Breitfus two seats along. Lavallee called from one more seat along and Gulyy came along for the ride.
On the flop Breitfus continued for 1,425 and Lavallee was the only caller. Both players checked the turn and Breitfus led for 4,300 on the river. Lavallee took a few moments and bumped that up to 13,200.
All other players had gone on break by that point but it still took another ten minutes for Breitfus to release his hand.
Bruno Pereira raised to 425 from the button, Vanessa Selbst folded before Lukas Berglund three-bet to 1,500 in the small blind. Pereira quickly clicked it back with a four-bet to 2,900 and Pereira made the call.
The flop was and both players checked, Berglund then also checked the turn and Pereira made a delayed continuation bet of 2,900. A suspicious Berglund folded soon after.
There was an open to 500, Govert Metaal called in middle position, Adrian Piasecki called in the cutoff, and Team PokerStars Pro Theo Jorgensen three-bet to 2,000 on the button. The original opener folded, Metaal four-bet to 5,200, and Piasecki send his cards spiraling into the muck.
Jorgensen grabbed all of the blue T5,000 chips in his stack and cut them out. It looked like he was going to commit them, and then he pulled them back into his stack. He held his entire stack with his right hand, tanked a little more, then grabbed two blue chips and five-bet to 10,000. Metaal moved all in for 17,250, and Jorgensen sighed before calling.

Metaal held as the board rolled out , doubling to around 36,000 chips. Jorgensen slipped to roughly 14,000 chips.
Steve O'Dwyer's great start to the day has been clipped back by Ami Barer. The runner up from last season is still going well on 47,000.
Barer opened from the cut-off and was called in two spots including O'Dwyer in the big blind. On the flop Barer continued for 550 and only O'Dwyer check-called.
Barer fired 575 on the turn and 1,500 on the river. O'Dwyer called quickly on the turn but took a little longer to call the river. Barer opened and that was good as O'Dwyer mucked.
On a board of Heinrich Pauker checked out of the small blind, Adria Balaguer bet 1,075 and the German made the call. The river was the Pauker checked, Balaguer bet 2,500, Pauker called and the Spaniard sheepishly mucked his hand. Pauker showed the .
Adria Balaguer made the final table of this event in Season 7 where he finished in ninth place for a $70,334 payday.
Vanessa Selbst just took a sizeable hit when she paid off a 5,025 bet on the river of a board with over 10,000 already in the pot. Mario Sanchez Cano was her opponent and flipped and the Team PokerStars Pro could only muck and shake her head.
It was a flop of , Barny Boatman checked out of midfield Rudy Blondeau bet 1,300 and Boatman made the call. Fourth street was the and this time Boatman cranked up the pressure. It started with a check; Blondeau bet 2,700 before Boatman plonked 6,000 more on top of that. Blondeau decided to muck his hand and the pot went the way of the Hendon Mob.
Rudy Blondeau’s best EPT performance to date is a 41st place finish at the PCA in Season 8.
Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree raised to 450 in middle position, Peppino Finocchi defended from the big blind, and the dealer fanned . Both players checked.
The turn was the , Finocchi checked, and Boeree fired 600. Finocchi quickly called.
The completed the board, the two checked again, and Boeree was hesitant to show her hand.

She finally showed , signifying that she played the board. If Finocchi held any card higher than a jack, or any pair, he was the winner.
