Berende Doubles Through Piqué
From early position, Gerard Piqué raised to 5,500. Paul Berende flat-called on the button, then Kristijonas Andrulis came along with a call from the big blind. On the 
flop, fireworks flew between Piqué and Berende.
First, Andrulis checked, then Piqué tossed out a bet of 9,500. Berende raised all in for 54,500, and Andrulis quickly folded. Piqué made the call holding the 
for top pair, top kicker. Berende had better, though, with the 
after slyly just calling in position with the two kings preflop.
The turn was the 
, leaving Piqué needing an ace or a queen on the river to win the hand and bust Berende. The 
paired the board, and that was a big brick as far as Berende was concerned. Piqué's losing hand was mucked, and Berende scooped the pot with two pair, kings and sixes, to double up.
