Holz and Zhang Tangle

Nível 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Haoran Zhang - Fedor Holz
Haoran Zhang - Fedor Holz

Fedor Holz opened the action under the gun with a raise to 20,000 and it folded around to Haoran Zhang in the big blind who looked over a Holz and then threw in the call.

Zhang checked the {3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{k-Clubs} flop over to Holz who took his time but eventually opted to continuation bet 25,000. It is Zhang’s turn to tank but he does not do so for long, eventually sliding out the call and it’s off to the {4-Clubs} turn.

Zhang checked once more and Holz mulled it over before sliding out a stack of yellow 25k chips with some 1k turquoise chips thrown in for good measure for a bet of 118,000 leaving himself 264,000 behind.

Zhang looked to be a believer and folded to drop to 765,000 while Holz has 530,000.

Bantick Doubles Ruha

Nível 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

There has been an all-in and a call and it is Sam Ruha who was the at risk player, getting all the chips in preflop with {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} versus the {7-Spades}{10-Hearts} of Stephen Bantick.

The flop fell {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs} to keep Ruha in front and while the {j-Hearts} turn gave Ruha a set of jacks Bantick was still drawing live to a heart flush draw.

The {5-Spades} river kept Ruha in contention and he doubled to 325,000 while Bantick has around 524,000.

Vijayaram Eliminates Swalling

Nível 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Steven Swalling
Steven Swalling

“There is an all in and a call over on table 7” stated tournament director Joel Williams.

We do not know who shoved first but Steven Swalling and Vijayaram have got all the chips in on a {q-}{9-}{7-} flop, Swalling’s king-queen trailing to Vijayaram’s flopped set of queens.

Swalling did not hit the running kings he needed to stay alive and he exited in 33rd place while Vijayaram now has just shy of a million.

Pezzaniti Eliminatd by Vijayaram

Nível 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Frank Pezzaniti
Frank Pezzaniti

The action started with Shurane Vijayaram raising to 35,000 from the cutoff before Frank Pezzaniti reraised to 155,000 from the button. Vijayaram then four-bet shoved all in and was snap-called by Pezzaniti who had less chips behind.

Vijayaram: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Pezzaniti: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Pezzaniti was in great shape to double up with his pocket pair until the flop came down {9-Spades}{a-Clubs}{a-Spades} giving Vijayaram the lead with trip aces.

The dealer then produced the {a-Hearts} on the turn to give Vijayaram an unbeatable hand with quad aces.

"Do I get a bonus for that?" asked an emotional Vijayaram, happy with the turn of events occurring.

The meaningless {7-Hearts} completed the board and Pezzaniti was sent to the rail in 32nd place.

Crivell Chipping Up

Nível 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Patrick Crivell began the day over on the feature table as the short stack and we heard Jennifer Tilly take a beat just before the break and mention getting called by someone with an open-ended straight draw.

Tilly is now short with less than 200,000 and Crivell is currently sitting on just under 1 million in chips so using our Sherlock Holmes powers of deduction we think Crivell may be the player in question.

Crivell has been flexing his large stack and recently became involved in a hand with Artur Koren.

Preflop in a battle of the blinds Koren completed from the small blind, Crivell threw in a small raise and Koren called to bring both players to a flop of {8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Spades}.

Koren checked it over to Crivell who led out for 31,000, which was quickly called by the German and it was off to the {7-Clubs} turn.

Koren check-called another Crivell bet of 31,000 and the {a-Clubs} arrived on the river to complete the board and bring a third check from the German.

Crivell pushed out a tower of chips for a bet of 123,000 and Koren folded pretty quickly to drop down to 680,000 while Crivell has about 980,000 after scooping that pot.

Holz Hit By Eskenazi

Nível 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

German wunderkind Fedor Holz is hurting after running into the full house of Scott Eskenazi.

With the cards spread {10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades} it was tablemate Robert Lieu who led out for 60,000 before he was called by Holz in the cutoff and Eskenazi on the button.

The {6-Spades} arrived on the river and Lieu decided to check his option. Holz announced all in for 495,000 and after Eskenazi called for his last 186,000, Lieu let it go.

Holz quickly flashed {10-Clubs}{7-Spades} before tossing it into the muck as Eskenazi tabled {5-Spades}{5-Hearts} for a full house.

Wakeman Doubles Through Rossiter

Nível 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Matthew Wakeman was just on the right side of a coinflip to secure himself a double up through Jeff Rossiter.

Wakeman got his last 289,000 in preflop before seeing he was off to the races.

Wakeman: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Rossiter: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The rail gathered closer to sweat the action as Wakeman’s pocket jacks would hold through the {3-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades} runout.
