Garrett Greer, runner-up in the 2014 WPT Five Diamond for $1,169,683 and Millionaire Maker last summer for $1,000,000, has been eliminated from the tournament. He got it in with against and did not win the flip. The board came and Greer was on his way to the pay-out desk.
The bubble of the 2017 Aussie Million main event lasted just one hand with Alek Givotovsky earning himself the unfortunate title of bubble boy.
The hand started with Givotovsky moving all in for 68,000 from middle position and finding a call from Stephen Bantick in the cutoff.

The crowd surrounded the table and watched as the dealer produced the board. Bantick's king-kicker would prove the difference sending Givotovsky to the rail one player short of the money.

Scott Davies started things off with a raise from under the gun before Nino Marotta reraised from middle position. Francesco Sergi was in the cutoff and deliberated over his decision for a minute before opting to move all in for 53,000. The decision fell back on Davies who agonised over his decision before mucking his hand. Marotta snap-called.

The board ran out to see Marotta hold with his pocket pair sending Sergi to the rail.
Davies announced he folded pocket jacks following the hand and was grateful to still be alive in the tournament as he went to Twitter to tell all.
