Ask Gordon Huntly, and he himself will tell you that he ran pretty hot at the ANZPT Sydney. We recall him cracking aces a couple of times that ultimately led to him winning the title.
It seems that poker karma has caught up with the Scotsman after a devastating and rapid exit from the APPT Cebu Main Event.
The action started with a raise to 425 from Andrew Nguyen, which collected three callers to see a flop of . Nguyen continuation bet for 1,325 before Huntly raised to 2,800 to force folds from the other two players. However Nguyen didn’t slow down, re-raising to 5,200. Huntly announced himself all in for around 14,000 and Nguyen made the call.
Nguyen showed for top two but Huntly was in the lead with for a set of ducks. That all changed when the appeared on the turn, giving both players a full house but it was Nguyen’s queens full of eights which crushed Huntly’s ducks.
The river was the to see Huntly become the first casualty of the day.

When we came back from the break we noticed that Terrence Chan was sitting behind a considerably smaller stack than he previously had. A quick look on his twitter (@tchanpoker) and we uncovered the story.
"Lame, back to starting stack at first break after losing 32k pot JJ<AK on the last orbit of the level."

Ryan Hong has been very active over on his table, throwing in plenty of three and four-bets. Sometimes this won't work though, with a player getting him to lay down his hand.
It started with an open to 525 from Hong on the button. His opponent was in the small blind and three-bet it up to 1,550. The big blind got out of the way and it was back on Hong who four-bet to 4,025. Hong's opponent then almost instantly made it 9,500. This sent Hong into the tank before he eventually decided to give up on his hand.
