Volpe Lays it Down

Nível 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Paul Volpe
Paul Volpe

Paul Volpe raised to 60,000 on the button and Joao Simao potted to 190,000 in the big blind, leaving himself with 220,000 behind. Volpe called to see A97 roll off the deck.

Simao wasted no time getting the rest of his stack in and Volpe went in the tank. The two players had an animated chat while Volpe was considering it.

"Will you show if I fold?" Volpe inquired.

"Is this for information?" Simao roared.

The pair kept quipping back and forth before Volpe ultimately laid it down. Simao was a good sport and flashed AA7Xx, prompting a cheer from Volpe.

McNeil Forces Out Wilkerson

Nível 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Having invested 60,000 preflop, Calen McNeil and Dylan Wilkerson headed to the K105 flop on which they invested 175,000 each. McNeil then bet the 10 turn for 220,000 and Wilkerson quickly folded.

Kihara Scoops Simao for a Double

Nível 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Naoya Kihara
Naoya Kihara

Paul Volpe raised to 60,000 from under the gun and Naoya Kihara called from one seat over. Joao Simao raised to 275,000 in the cutoff and Volpe tank-folded which prompted "ah, we are still friends."

Kihara called, however, and they headed to the 873 flop, on which the shove by Kihara for 105,000 was called by Simao.

Noaya Kihara: A542
Joao Simao: AAJ6

The J turn ensured the scoop of Kihara, (with the nut low and nut low diamond flush) to make the 9 river a formality.

"How do you find the low cards here and here ... diamonds?!" Simao asked more to himself than Kihara.

Rapaski Doubles Through Zamani

Nível 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Ryan Rapaski
Ryan Rapaski

Martin Zamani raised to 60,000 in middle position, Hassan Kamel called from the cutoff, as did Anton Smirnov on the button, and Ryan Rapaski from the big blind. The flop was Q85 and Rapaski bet pot, leaving himself with crumbs behind.

Zamani went all in over the top, which quickly got Kamel out of the way. Smirnov, though, appeared to have a big hand for the situation and painfully gave it up after two minutes. Rapaski quickly committed the extra chips.

Ryan Rapaski: AQ83
Martin Zamani: AJ82

The turn and river 99 brought a pair on the board, meaning Rapaski's two pair (queens and nines with ace kicker) would play for a full double-up, with no low possible.

Martin Zamani Eliminated in 18th Place ($24,509)

Nível 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Martin Zamani
Martin Zamani

In the hand just prior, Martin Zamani had tangled with Hassan Kamel and check-called a bet of 150,000 on the A862 turn. Zamani checked the 2 river and Kamel bet the pot for 275,000 to force a fold from Zamani.

Zamani then raised it up to 85,000 from the button in the last hand of the level before he faced a three-bet to 265,000 by Anton Smirnov in the big blind, which he called. Smirnov potted the 753 flop and Zamani called all-in for around 550,000 total.

Martin Zamani: KK63
Anton Smirnov: AA96

The Q turn and J river brought no help to Zamani, as he made no low and his pair of kings was no good either. He departed in 18th place for $24,509.

On the turn, the board was reading 76310 and John Holley checked. Dylan Wilkerson bet pot and Holly raised to get the rest of Wilkerson's stack in.

Dylan Wilkerson: J432
John Holley: A983

Holley had the nut straight on the turn while Wilkerson had an 7-6-4-3-2 low. Holley drilled the 4 on the river to improve to a 7-6-4-3-A low to pip Wilkerson and send him out in 17th place.

Leonard Chops for Minor Profit

Patrick Leonard
Patrick Leonard

Three ways to the J85 flop, John Holley checked out of the small blind and Patrick Leonard got his last 45,000 in from the big blind. Ben Yu called in the hijack and Holley then check-raised the pot to 420,000.

Dylan Weisman walked over to sweat the showdown with Leonard while Yu was in the tank, which was remarked upon by Holley. Eventually, Yu folded and the cards were flipped over.

Patrick Leonard: AQ63
John Holley: KQ96

"Oh, I have nothing, I was just making a play ... it seemed like a good spot," Holley said when the cards had been exposed.

The board completed with the 9 turn and 3 river as Holley won the high pot with a pair of nines and Leonard took the low.

Simao Gets Three-Quartered

Nível 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Joao Simao
Joao Simao

A rather innocuous blind-on-blind battle between Long Tran and Joao Simao exploded on the river when the dealer completed the J10275 board. Simao bet a large part of his stack, Tran stuck the rest in and Simao called.

Tran rolled over A554 for the nut flush and a 7-5-4-2-A low. Simao tabled AK104 for the same low to escape with a quarter of the pot.
