Yesterday, the €1,000,000-buy-in event was won by Elton Tsang, a 35-year old recreational player based in Hong Kong. Today, the €100,000 freeze-out awaits.
The past couple of side-events haven't attracted huge fields so far this week, everyone's focus appeared to be on either the Big One or the cash games. Today that might change, as we have good hopes this event will run.
Besides the €100,000-freeze-out set for 11am this morning (in one hour), a €2,000/€4,000 cash game with a €1,000,000-buy-in. If it will run, and if we're allowed to be reporting on it, remains to be seen.
There were 3 players interested in playing the €100,000-event this morning, but they've decided to wait till 1 o'clock local time to see if more players are going to show up. We'll be back in 30 minutes with more information.

It's been a lively start to the tournament with the reentry option perhaps influencing the participants' willingness to play pots.
Zuo Wang won the first two pots, in the first hand of the tournament he three-bet to 8,000 from the small blind and Cary Katz, who'd raised from the button, called. A bet of 12,000 from Wang on the turn of a meant he scooped the first pot.
On the next hand he made it 3,500 to go and Talal Shakerchi smooth called from the big blind. Again Wang checked the flop, but he called when Shakerchi bet 5,500 on the turn with the board showing . The fell on fifth street, Shakerchi bet 15,500, Wang instantly called and Shakerchi mucked his hand face down.
Yaqi Sun is also off to a good start as he took pots against Cary Katz and Shakerchi.
