From the button it was Alex Keating who raised to 45,000 and Andrew Fisher called from the big blind. The flop brought out and Fisher lead out for 45,000 and Keating raised it up to 120,000.
Fisher gave it some thought before making it 300,000 and Keating thought for a while before calling.
The turn brought the and both players checked.
On the river the hit and Fisher lead out for another 320,000, Keating called. Fisher tabled for a flopped full house and Keating mucked, leaving himself with very little chips compared to what he started the day with.
Pedro Oliveira entered the pot with a raise to 40,000 from the under-the-gun plus one position and Paul Vas Nunes three-bet from the button to 95,000. Joe Kuether moved all in from the big blind for 489,000 and both his opponents folded.
Kuether started the day as one of the short stacks, but right he's making his way up the counts as we are still with 15 players remaining in this event.
Alex Keating just doubled up and celebrated loudly, something which remembered us of Marcel Lüske's antics during the 2004 World Series of Poker Main Event.
Keating raised under the gun to 40,000 and from the cutoff Diogo Cardoso three-bet to 105,000. Keating proceeded to move all in for 498,000 and Cardoso made the call.
Keating:
Cardoso:
The board ran out and Keating celebrated by yelling, "Yazaaaaa!" as the river bricked out. Keating is back up to over a million while Cardoso, who had been one of the chip leaders for most of the tournament, is now on the shorter side.
Pedro Oliveira raised under the gun plus one to 40,000 and Paul Vas Nunes called from the button to create heads-up action. The flop came down and Oliveira checked to Vas Nunes who bet 40,000.
Oliveira check-raised all in for 446,000 and Vas Nunes tanked for quite some time before making the call.
Oliveira:
Vas Nunes:
The turn brought the and the river the sending Oliveira to the rail in 15th place.
Garrett Greer just doubled up into a great chip-position as we are just a few spots removed from the final table. Greer raised under the gun plus one to 50,000 and Alex Keating called from the cutoff.
The flop came down and Greer bet 62,000 after which Keating put him all in. Greer called for a total of 412,000 and the showdown went as following.
Keating:
Greer:
Greer had flopped two pair and the turn, the , nor the river, the , changed the result of the hand.
As we get closer and closer to the final table, the action has slowed down considerably. We are still with 14 and the final 10 will combine at the final table.
Keven Stammen raised under the gun plus one to 53,000 and both Joe Kuether, in the small blind, and Joe Serock, in the big blind, called.
The flop brought out and all three players checked.
On the turn the hit and the action checked to Stammen who bet 75,000. Kuether folded and Serock called, after which the river completed the board with the .
Serock check-folded to a bet of 90,000 and Stammen raked in this pot.
