Urbatsch Takes One at Showdown

In a heads-up pot with close to 6,000 in the middle on a board showing Q♦5♣4♥6♥, Robert Urbatsch checked from early position to the cutoff who bet 3,000. Urbatsch made the call and the K♠ hit the river.

Urbatsch and his opponent both quickly checked to a showdown and Urbatsch tabled Q♥10♥ for a pair of queens. The cutoff mucked their cards and the pot was shipped to Urbatsch who continues to tell stores and jokes to keep his tablemates entertained.

Rheem Still Throwing Punches

With the board reading 6♦K♦A♣5♦4♦ Chino Rheem applied maximum pressure from middle position on his late position opponent, betting 15,000. After a three minute tank, his opponent relented and Rheem took down the pot.

On the next hand Rheem called the 1,300 raise of an early position opponent, and the bet 2,000 on the 6♣4♣3♥ flop to further replenish his languishing stack.

Hawkins Playing Mind Games Nearing End of Night

The cutoff opened to 1,400 and Maurice Hawkins defended the big blind.

"We have the same hand," said Hawkins.

"Should we just chop it now then?" Responded the cutoff.

The dealer brought out the A♥J♥J♦ flop and Hawkins checked.

"I checked, he checks, go to to the turn," Hawkins continued.

However, the cutoff did not check as he tossed a bet of 1,000 across the line. Hawkins called.

The Q♥ hit the turn and Hawkins checked again while saying, "we have the same hand, free river." This time his opponent checked back.

The 9♦ fell on the river and Hawkins led for 3,300.

"Now we play the game of do you believe me."

After a few moments, it seemed the cutoff did believe him as he tossed his cards into the muck.

Hawkins showed one of his cards, tabling the J♣ and mucked the other.

Mirrasouli Gets Odds From the Small Blind

A player in the cutoff raised to 1,500 and got called by the button, Amir Mirrasouli in the small blind and the big blind leading to a 5♠3♥9♦ flop.

Mirrasouli checked to the big blind who bet out 3,400. The cutoff called and the button got out of the way before Mirrasouli came along as well to see the 7♥ turn.

All three players checked through to get to the 2♥ river.

Both Mirrasouli and the big blind checked to the cutoff who tossed out a bet worth 11,000. Mirrasouli thought briefly before calling and the big blind sent her cards into the muck.

The cutoff turned over the 4♦3♦ and Mirrasouli tabled the 5♣3♣ for two pair and the winner, causing the cutoff to toss his cards toward the muck as the dealer pushed the pot to Mirrasouli.

Chan Triples With Straight Flush; Murthy Accumulates Chips

On a flop of 4♠5♠8♥, Jack Germaine, Edwin Buskirk, and Lok Chan all got the money in, with Biskirk covering.

Edwin Buskirk: 9♣8♣

Germaine was sitting pretty with his overpair of jacks, but still had to fade a nine or eight from Buskirk or a six or spade from Lok.

Unfortunately for him, Chan hit the miraculous 6♠ on the turn to give him a straight flush and left his opponents drawing stone dead. The board completed with the Q♦ and Chan scooped the entire main pot while Germaine took what was left of the side.

Meanwhile, at a nearby table, Neel Murthy just raked in another pot to boost his stack to 320,000, one of the largest in the room.

Simpson Leaves Pepe Short

The dealer fanned a flop of A♣A♦2♦ and Simpson continued for 1,200. Pepe called.

The Q♠ fell on the turn and both players checked to see the 6♦ river.

Simpson tossed 6,000 across the line and Pepe mucked his hand.
