Andrew Brown opened on the button and was called by Aaron Mermelstein in the big blind.

Mermelstein took three on the initial draw to Brown's two before check-calling an all in from Brown.

Both players took one on the second draw before standing pat on the final draw. Brown tabled 8x6x4x3x2x, good enough to take down the pot and ensure his tournament survival.

Moriarty Takes From Hale

Brant Hale raised in the hijack and on the button Ryan Moriarty called while Anatolii Zyrin callled in the big blind.

Anatolii drew three, Hale drew two and Moriarty drew two. Zyrin checked over to Hale who bet and both players called.

The following betting round saw Anatolii draw one, Hale stood pat and Moriarty drew two. Action checked over to Hale once more who bet and only Moriarty called.

The final draw saw Hale stand pat and check over to Moriarty who drew one and bet and after some time, Hale folded, ceding the pot to Moriarty.

Anatolii Zyrin opened from the cutoff and Gennady Shimelfarb called off for his remaining chips in the small blind. Nick Pupillo then three-bet out of the big blind, receiving a call from Zyrin.

Shimelfarb and Zyrin each took two on the first draw while Pupillo stood pat. Pupillo then bet, getting a fold from Zyrin.

On the second draw Shimelfarb again took two with Pupillo once more standing pat.

The final draw saw Shimelfarb take one more card and Pupillo again decline to draw. Pupillo then tabled Q♥9♦2♣A♠ with Shimelfarb showing down 4♣3♦2♥. Shimelfarb could not find a spade on his fourth card, instead peeling the A♦ and bringing his deep run to an end in 12th place.

Marsico bet on the first draw after standing pat and Wells called after drawing one on the first draw.

The next draw saw Marsico bet and Wells call to put himself all in. Marsico stood pat once more and Wells drew one and turned their hands up.

Wells peeled up his last card which was a 2♦ which gave a pair to Wells which was no good against the seven of Marsico and he tapped the table before leaving the tournament area.

The second draw saw Johansson and Mermelstein each take one card after which Johansson check-called a bet from his opponent.

On the final draw Johansson took one more card while Mermelstein stood pat. Johansson then bet and called off for his remaining chips after Mermelstein raised. Mermelstein tabled 6x5x3x2xAx, a hand that Johansson could not beat, sending him to the rail in 14th place.

Shimelfarb Stays Alive In Deuce

Gennady Shimelfarb was all in from the small blind and Aaron Mermelstein had raised to take everyone else out of the pot.

The first draw saw Shimelfarb draw three and Mermelstein drew one. The next draw saw both players draw two and on the final draw both drew one.

Gennady Shimelfarb: 9x6x5x4x2x
Aaron Mermelstein: 10x7x5x4x2x

Shimelfarb made a nine to best Mermelstein's ten and he doubled through his opponent.

The following hand he moved all in from the small blind against Nick Pupillo who called.

Shimelfarb drew one and Pupillo whispered "that's not good," while drawing three. The following draw saw the same draw which saw Shimelfarb stay pat on the final draw while Pupillo drew two.

"If you have an eight I lose," said Pupillo who turned over 9x7x4x3x without looking at his final card. Shimelfarb grinned and turned over 9x6x5x3x2x which had Pupillo drawing dead as well and he doubled up twice in the deuce round.

Divakaran Marella had lost multiple pots when arriving at his new table. Eventually he got involved in a confrontation with Hye Park.

Action was briefly recapped by the table but on the end the hands were revealed by the players with all the chips in the middle.

Marella made a nine-six on the end but it was no good against the eight-seven of Park and Marella wished his table-mates luck before leaving the tournament.
