The 2019 World Series of Poker is nearing its conclusion and the final bracelet winners of the summer will be decided within the next five days. Event #85: $3,000 Pot-Limit Omaha 6-Handed is the last PLO event of the series and is set to begin at 3 p.m. local time this afternoon.
Last year’s event saw Ronald Keijzer become the fifth Dutch player to win a bracelet after defeating a field of 901 players for the first prize of $475,033. That figure was up from 2016, when Luis Calvo won $320,193 after navigating a significantly smaller field of just 630.
Players will receive 20,000 starting chips for this year’s edition of the tournament. There are 10 one-hour levels on the schedule for the day with 15-minute breaks occurring at the end of every two levels. As usual for 3 p.m. starting times on Day 1, there will be no dinner break. One re-entry is allowed and late registration will be open until the completion of the break at the end of Level 8, around midnight local time.
The PokerNews team is here to bring you updates as all the action unfolds for both this tournament and the rest of this historic 50th annual World Series of Poker.

Action was on the player on the button on a board reading . He was facing a bet of 10,000 from Jameson Painter in the small blind.
"How much is in the pot?" the player asked after a bit.
The dealer responded saying a total of 17,700 and began to count it out.
"I believe you," the player said before the dealer could finish counting and mucked his hand.
"Tough decision," another player at the table said before turning his focus to Painter to inquire about his hand.
"You could have paid 10,000 to find out," Painter responded.

A player was seen standing up, already all in and called as the river was being dealt to finish the runout. He was in for his last few chips with from the cutoff versus Conrad Fourie's in the big blind.
The board had run out and Fourie's set of fives was good over his opponent's top two pair, sending him to the rail.
