Welcome to Day 2 coverage of Event #58: $50,000 Poker Players Championship.
Of the 64 Day 1 entries, 63 of them will return at 2 p.m. today to play another six 100-minute levels. Registration remains open until the start of Level 11 (about 10:20 p.m.), so the numbers should steadily tick up throughout the day.
Josh Arieh bagged the biggest stack on Day 1 with 658,500, in part thanks to his eliminating Mike Gorodinsky (the only player eliminated on Day 1) in the waning stages of the night. Right on his tail is three-time bracelet winner Justin Bonomo with 646,100, and those are the only two who more than doubled their starting stack on Day 1.

Three players made it to the first draw in a pot which was capped by Jared Bleznick who patted after Phil Hui peeled one and Eli Elezra two cards. Bleznick bet in position and both of his opponents stuck around for the second draw.
Hui took one again and Elezra improved to one-card draw. Bleznick bet again and Hui called, but Elezra opted to raise this time. Bleznick fired back with a three-bet, puzzling Hui who eventually decided to escape the fight. Elezra, however, four-bet and Bleznick called.
They patted the final draw and Bleznick called one more bet from Elezra, who quickly opened his hand, showing . Bleznick's cards went into the muck.

With action picked up after the draws, Daniel Negreanu had put all his chips into the middle and Andrew Brown and Jesse Martin were battling for a side pot.
Brown checked to Martin who bet and Brown called. Martin announced a nine-six but Brown had him beat with . Negreanu waited until the side pot showdown concluded and then he opened to earn rights for a triple up as he dragged the main pot of 46,500.
