Baker won a bit back the next hand when he battled it out with Hawrilenko in a small blind big blind confrontation. In that hand he raised and called the threebet preflop, and check-raised on . That was enough for Hawrilenko to fold his hand.
From the small blind Terrence Chan raised it up and Francois Vigeant made the call from the big blind. on the board and Chan bet out. Vigeant made the call and raised it up when Chan bet out again on the on the turn. Chan made the call, and check-called another big bet on the on the river. Chan mucked when Vigeant showed for a flopped straight.
Gabriel Nassif didn't start out with to many chips today, and couldn't turn it around. Nassif was very short already and commited his last chips on a flop. We arrived on the flop but imagine quite some chips went in before that happened. and Nassif turned over his when the last chips had gone in. His opponent tabled and the hit the turn directly after. The on the river couldn't save Nassif who exited the tournament area.
Matt Hawrilenko raised it up under-the-gun and he got a call from Sam Barnhart (mid-position) and David "ODB" Baker in the big blind. Hawrilenko made a continuation-bet on and both Barnhart and Baker made the call. All three players checked on the on the turn and the river hit: . Baker checked and Hawrilenko bet. Barnhart made the call but he wouldn't win the hand. As Baker folded Barnhart found out he wouldn't lose it either though, as he and Hawrilenko had the same hand.
