Hanks' Aces "Down the Sh*tter"
"Well, my aces went down the sh*tter," Brent Hanks just said with a big smile, even though this meant no good for his chip stack.
Hanks explained to us what happened, as he looked down on the best starting hand after there had been a raise to 450 and a three-bet to 1,400 in front of him.
The World Series of Poker bracelet winner put in a four-bet to 2,500 and the initial raiser folded. The three-bettor called and the flop brought out on which both players checked.
Hanks called a bet of 3,400 and on the river a popped up. This time Hanks was faced with a bet of 10,500 and he called once more.
"He showed a jack and a jack," Hanks said, as his opponent had flopped a set on him. Hanks was left with just 5,000 chips and he will be looking to rebuild, or re-enter this event.
