The K♦ rolled off on the turn and Watson check-called a bet of 245,000 from Petrangelo.

On the 7♦ river, Watson checked for a third time. Petrangelo put out a bet of 400,000, leaving himself a single 5,000 chip behind. Watson moved all in and Petrangelo called.

Watson showed K♠6♠ for two pair, but Petrangelo had K♥Q♥ for the higher two pair, sending him a chunky pot.

On the last hand before dinner break, Mikita Badziakouski raised to 40,000 from under the gun, Jean-Noel Thorel called in middle position and Pieter Aerts three-bet jammed for 188,000 from the button. Badziakouski isolated and Thorel folded.

Aerts had a dominating holding, but the 9♠2♦Q♦ flop reversed the lead in favor of Badziakouski.

The 5♦ turn added a flush draw for Aerts, then the K♣ river saw him retake the lead with top pair and he doubled up once more.
