Day 2 of Event #49: $2,000 No-Limit Hold'em was scheduled to begin today at 1 p.m local time, but the start has been pushed back to 2 p.m.
There will be 310 remaining players returning to the Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas of the 1,977 players who registered yesterday. They compiled a total prize pool of $3,519,060 for this inaugural event.
When the action begins, players will be only 13 spots away from the money which will guarantee 297 hopefuls a min-cash of $3,205. Several short stacks are still hanging on, which will surely add to the action and the suspense. A final table appearance will be paying at least $46,253, with first place being worth a cool $527,944.

Leading the 310 hopefuls is Faraz Jaka with 735,000, while Dan Colpoys is right on his tail with 730,000. Jaka has $6,957,844 in lifetime earnings but is still looking to claim his first-ever WSOP bracelet. Following behind Jaka and Colpoys are John Perry (729,000), Tommy Kivela (669,000), and Daniel Custodio (540,000), who round out the top five stacks.
Several well known players will return today to contest the big stacks in an attempt to make a deep run in this event. Included are Barak Wisbrod (427,000), Natalie Hof (431,000), Uri Reichenstein (367,000), Brett Apter (333,000), 2020 Main Event champion Damian Salas (318,000), Alex Keating (309,000), four-time bracelet winner Ben Yu (292,000) and Jason Wheeler (286,000).
Day 2 kicks-off at 2 p.m, with action picking up on Level 16 where blinds will be 3,000/6,000 with a 6,000 ante. Blind levels will be 60-minutes long and players will receive a 15-minute break after every two levels along with an hour-long dinner break at some point.

Nathan Paytas raised on the button to 12,000 and Melanie Weisner decided to call in the big blind.
On the flop, Weisner check-called Paytas for 9,000 and both checked on the and river. Weisner revealed and it was enough to grab the pot and make her opponent fold.

The board already showed when Rafi Elharar fired 80,000 into the pot. After some consideration, John Perry opted to call.
The river brough the and Elharar took a minute and announced all in for 190,000. Perry ended up calling with but only to see in Elharar's hand who took down the nice pot.

With the tournament field quickly whittled down to 299 players for 297 places in the money, the tournament director instructed the dealers to complete the hand they were on and to hold up for hand-for-hand play.

John Zipperer opened the action from middle position to 12,000 and it folded to Matt Affleck in the cutoff who moved all in for 55,000. Zipperer made the call.
