After 17 grueling levels on Day 1 of Event #30: $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Handed, 108 players return to Bally's Event Center at the World Series of Poker at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas to compete for the top prize of $255,359 and the coveted WSOP Gold Bracelet. Day 2 will conclude when only five players remain and they will return to the final table on Thursday, June 16th at a time yet to be determined.

Stephen Song starts the day as chip leader after amassing an incredible 1,404,000 chips. Three other players will start the day with a seven-figure stack. Pedro Arroyos (1,365,000), William Kopp (1,163,000) and Chino Rheem (1,100,000).

One of the big stories of Day 2 is the glut of former WSOP Bracelet winners in the field hoping to win more gold for their wrists. Twelve former winners including Barny Boatman, Eoghan O'Dea, Ryan Laplante, and David Williams will be looking for glory once again.

Cards will be in the air at noon local time at level 18 with blinds at 5,000/10,000 with a 10,000 ante. PokerNews will bring you all the action as it happens.

Huge Triple Up For Martin

Nível 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Kristof Segers bet 23,000 from the hijack and was called by Jason Smith in the small blind and Aurelien Martin in the big blind.

The flop of {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} caused Independence Day to come early. Smith bet 65,000 and was quickly met with an all-in from Martin for 177,000 and Segers for 255,000. Smith took his time to work out all of the consequences of side pots and elected to call.

Aurelien Martin: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Kristof Segers: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Jason Smith: {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}

Segers was ahead with a set of kings, Martin had a gutshot straight draw along with a flush draw, while Smith was well behind with a set of fours and not a lot of backup.

The {7-Diamonds} turn gave Martin another flush draw and a gutshot straight draw for Smith. But the {j-Diamonds} gave the Frenchman Martin the diamond flush and a huge increase of his stack.

Nível 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Jose Obadia Chocron got it all in preflop agianst Zinoviy Pelekh, with Chocron at risk.

Jose Obadia Chocron: {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Zinoviy Pelekh: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The board runout of {9-Spades}{a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} meant Chocron won with two pair, aces and fours, which scored him a nice double to start the day.

Pessoa Gets Rheemed

Nível 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Chino Rheem
Chino Rheem

On a three-way flop of {a-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts}, Chino Rheem and Pete Arroyos checked in turn, then Alexandre Pessoa bet the pot of 140,000. Rheem thought for a second then repopped it to 350,000, getting a fold from Arroyos before Pessoa put the rest of his chips in, at risk.

Alexandre Pessoa: {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Chino Rheem: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

The board runout of {4-Spades}{j-Diamonds} improved Rheem's top two pair to a full house, which eliminated Pessoa and chipped up Rheem to 1,250,000.
