It was a long day of action on the felt in Event #47: $5,000 Freezeout No-Limit Hold’em. There were 82 players who returned for Day 2, including some of the biggest names in poker. In the end, only five remain for their shot at WSOP gold.

Leading the way into the final day is Alexandre Reard (8,820,000) from France. Reard has more than $3 million in live tournament earnings, but he is still seeking his first WSOP bracelet.

Others to make the PokerGO live-streamed table include bracelet winner Daniel Strelitz (5,345,000), Qing Liu (3,375,000, Conrad Simpson (2,390,000), and Ren Lin (1,535,000)

It took eight hours of play to reach the unofficial final table. The first to go was Salim Admon in ninth, ($31,905), he shoved the river with a pair of kings with a ten-kicker, but Daniel Strelitz held king-queen for a better kicker.

Next out was Jamie Sequeira. He lost a few pots in a row, including a big flip to exit in eighth ($41,132). Diogo Veiga followed him out the door shortly in seventh ($53,913), when his ace-five couldn’t connect against the pocket threes of Reard.

Darren Grant was the last one to miss out on the final day. Grant entered the official final table second in chips, but it was not to be as he went out in sixth ($71,827) at the hands of Reard.

There were 64 players who made the money for the guaranteed cash of $8,000. Some of those falling short of the bubble included Ben Heath, Craig Mason, and bubble boy, Andrew Kelsall.

Once the bubble was burst, players started dropping rapidly. Those who made the money but not the final table included, Daniel Negreanu, Shaun Deeb, Scott Seiver, and Daniel Lazrus.

Players will return at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26th, with the blinds at 60,000/120,000/120,000.

A winner will be crowned tomorrow in this brand new WSOP event. Keep your eyes on PokerNews for all the action in this event, and our continuing coverage of the World Series of Poker.

Conrad Simpson open-shoved a stack of 435,000 from early position and Qing Liu flat-called on the button. Jamie Sequeira then re-shoved his stack of 1,800,000 and Liu folded.

Conrad Simpson: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Jamie Sequeira: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

It looked like an elimination for Simpson when the board came out {5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}{j-Clubs} but the {q-Hearts} peeled off on the river and Simpson tripled.

The Day 1 chip leader was eliminated shortly after that when he called off on a board of {8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{a-Clubs} when Alexandre Reard raised to put him all-in.

Jamie Sequeira: {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Alexandre Reard: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Daniel Strelitz opened on the button to 160,000 and Alexandre Reard folded while Salim Admon decided to make the call.

The flop fell {8-Spades}{2-Spades}{j-Hearts} and Admon check-called Strelitz's continuation bet for 125,000. The same action happened on the {2-Hearts} turn, this time for 250,000.

A {k-Clubs} was dealt on the river and Admon announced all in for a stack of 645,000. "What the hell?" said Strelitz, who considered his options for a minute and made the call.

Admon showed {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for kings but Strelitz revealed {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for kings with a queen-kicker and eliminated Admon from the tournament.

Ren Lin opened to 130,000 under the gun and Dario Sammartino three-bet to 785,000, only keeping one 5,000 chip behind. Diogo Veiga called all in in the big blind for a stack worth 650,000 and Lin went deep into the tank before calling.

The flop appeared {9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Lin sent a chip in the middle, called by Sammartino to create the following showdown:

Diogo Veiga: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Dario Sammartino: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Ren Lin: {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Veiga hit a set of nines while Sammartino had a pair of tens. The {4-Hearts} turn and {2-Spades} river didn't change anything and main pot was sent to Veiga while Sammartino claimed the side pot.
