Early Double For Rec Poker's Reid

Nível 1 : 100/100, 100 ante

Co-host of the Rec Poker podcast Jim Reid is among the early entrants in the field, and was nearly facing a very early exit from the tournament.

On a board of {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, Reid was facing an all-in bet from his opponent; who Reid barely covered with his last 8,500 chips.

Reid called, and his opponent said the magic words, "you're good," before turning up {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a failed bluff. Reid showed {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for the winning hand and an early double-up.

Ibrahim Doubles Up with a Straight Flush

Nível 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

On a board of {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and 9,000 in the middle, Ramsey Ibrahim moved all in putting his opponent at risk for their tournament life and his opponent quickly made the call.

Opponent: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Ramsey Ibrahim: {5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Ibrahim called out "straight flush" and his opponent got up knowing there was no card in the deck that could help him. The river was the meaningless {2-Diamonds}.

Tardif Takes Two Pots

Patrick Tardif

Patrick Tardif raised to 300 on the button and had one caller in the big blind.

The flop came down {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and the big blind check folded to a bet of 400 from Tardif. He then turned over {k-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for kings and fives.

Tardif then moved to another table where he was involved in another pot in the big blind, versus an early position player. Action picked up on the flop of {7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts} which was checked through.

The turn of the {10-Spades} was bet at by Tardif for 600 and his opponent called.

The river of the {k-Clubs} went check-check and Tardif verbally declared "seven," before turning over {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. The early position player mucked his hand and Tardif won another pot.
