Day 1 of Event #26: $888 CRAZY EIGHTS Concludes with Papazian, Matakis, and Lofberg Among 31 Remaining Players

Only 31 players remain out of 2,350 entrants after 32 levels of play in Event #26: $888 CRAZY EIGHTS No Limit Hold'em 8-Handed. The biggest stack was bagged by Eugenio "Ausetep_255" Pernia from Venezuela, with Romanian Alexandru Papazian and Bulgarian Bahar Musa not far behind, all with over 4 million chips.
While all of the remaining 31 players already have $6,345 locked up, the majority of the $1,982,640 prize pool will be given out at the final table tomorrow, including the $241,128 first-place prize which comes with the coveted WSOP gold bracelet.
Among the notables to make Day 2 was Ian Matakis, who won a WSOP Circuit Ring on GGPoker earlier this year, Patrick Mahoney, Swede Simon Lofberg, and poker streamer Denys Chufarin.
