Just 151 hopefuls will return at noon local time on Thursday for Day 3 of the PokerStars Championship Macau Main Event. With the bubble looming only 48 eliminations away, 103 of the remaining players can expect to leave with some consolation today.
The final tally on the first ever PSC Macau closed with a total of 536 entries, creating a prize pool of $20,796,800 HKD. Sitting on top is a first-place prize of $3,130,000 HKD and of course the coveted PokerStars Championship trophy. Anyone making the money today will walk away with at least $62,500 HKD.
Leading the charge this afternoon is Pakinai Lisawad from Thailand. Lisawad will wield a stack of 301,200, chased closely by France’s Ivan Deyra (278,700) and Chuanshu Chen (272,700) of Hong Kong.
A number of notables are still in the hunt including Fabrice Soulier (243,000), Winfred Yu, (210,200), Sergio Aido (197,200), Dong Guo (176,600), Sofia Lovgren (132,900), Bryan Huang (121,300), and Day 1b chip leader Joachim Bold (107,700).

A player in late position opened to 5,200 and Yuki Ko bumped it up to 12,500 from the cutoff. Action folded around to Qufeng Duan in the big blind who four-bet to 32,400. Just Ko called.
The flop came and, almost before the dealer's hand even left the deck, Duan announced "all-in." Ko checked his cards before tossing them into the muck.

Geoffrey Waterlot raised to 5,100 from the hijack seat and Ping San Chen called from the cutoff, going to a flop of .
Waterlot checked and Chan bet 6,000, getting a call. The turn came and Waterlot checked again. Chan bet 13,000 and Waterlot quickly pushed all in for about 30,000. Chan thought briefly before folding, giving Waterlot the pot.

We arrived at the table to see start-of-day chip leader Pakinai Lisawad in action. A heads-up pot of about 45,000 was brewing and the two players were on the river of a board.
Lisawad check-called a bet of 22,000 and tabled for the low end of a turned straight and his opponent's
bluff was no good.

Xuan Tan was under the gun when he bet 5,800 preflop. Action stopped just one player over on Michel Abecassis who three-bet to 14,000. That was followed by folds all the way around the table back to Tan. He thought for a few moments before placing forward a stack of yellows that amounted to more than what Abecassis had remaining. Abecassis quickly called for his tournament life.
