Nível 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Mateusz Moolhuizen

From a starting field of 6,313 entries, only 938 players will return on Friday for Day 2 of the €1,100 Estrellas Poker Tour Main Event, which is a part of the PokerStars and Barcelona©Casino European Poker Tour.

The sixth and final flight was played on Thursday evening, with 162 players advancing from the 20-minute hyper-turbo format, which drew 1,087 total entries.

Play was completed with 11 seconds left in Level 19, when Alejandro Lococo was one of two players who burst the bubble.

Of those that advanced from the tournament's final flight, it was Mateusz Moolhuizen who reigned supreme, bagging a whopping 644,000 chips.

Frenchmen Alexandre Joa Pinto (643,000), Samir Benabdelaziz (616,000), and Ghamri Kheir (607,000) also cracked the top five, along with Dan Stavila of the United States.

Despite their best efforts and, for some, firing a handful of bullets, players like Alejandro Lococo, Alexander Kobbeltvedt, Robert Cowen, Joey Weissman, and Benny Glaser will not be a part Day 2 having failed to bag over the previous three days.

All remaining players that come back at noon for Friday's Day 2 are guaranteed at least a min-cash. They will announce the details of the impressive, record-breaking €6,060,480 prize pool at the start of the day. Players will play 60-minute levels after playing the final five minutes of Level 17, where the blinds will start at 3,000/6,000 with a 6,000 big blind ante.

Lococo One of Two Players Eliminated on the Stone Bubble

Nível 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Alejandro Lococo
Alejandro Lococo

With an enormous pot up for grabs, Alejandro Lococo found himself all in for his tournament life during the third hand of hand-for-hand play.

After saving a 100 chip for the flop, which came {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, Papo MC needed a whole lot of help in order to survive.

Alejandro Lococo: {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Andrea Cortellazzi: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

A glimmer of hope did arrive with the {q-Diamonds} coming on the turn, which got a chuckle and an eyebrow raise from the Argentinian.

However, the {10-Spades} completed the board and Lococo was eliminated despite firing in the Main Event eight times over the past three days.

There were four other all ins on the stone bubble, with Frederic Moutoussamy also eliminated on the bubble as his pocket aces fell to king-six suited, which made a flush on the river.

Despite the magic number being 163 players for the day, only 162 will make the money as the rules state players must make Day 2 to cash.

Marques Sniffs Out Benitah's Bluff, Earns Big Double Up

Nível 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Pedro Marques
Pedro Marques

Pedro Marques opened to 12,000 from middle position and Samuel Benitah, from the button, three-bet to 26,000. Marques called.

The flop came {4-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Marques checked over to Benitah, who continued for 20,000. Marques called.

On the {10-Diamonds} turn, Benitah put his entire stack of blues in the middle, forcing Marques to make a decision over his remaining 119,000 chips.

Marques would need more than three minutes to make the decision, even apologizing to the table about two minutes in. Eventually, he made the call for his tournament life.

Pedro Marques: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Samuel Benitah: {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Marques' pocket jacks were far ahead of Benitah, who needed a lot of help on the river.

However, the river brought the {8-Spades} and Marques earned a full double, knocking Benitah down to 89,000 in the process.

Nazar Buhaiov: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

However, the {a-Diamonds} came on the river, eliminating Hamouche and taking the Ukrainian over the 200,000-chip mark.

Speranza Hits Quad Kings in Blind vs. Blind All-In Battle

Gianluca Speranza
Gianluca Speranza

Harcharan Dogra and Gianluca Speranza tangled in a blind vs. blind battle that resulted in the two players going after a 73,000-chip pot with Speranza all in from the big blind.

Gianluca Speranza: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Harcharan Dogra: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

Speranza was way ahead, leaving Dogra in terrible shape after the {6-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{k-Spades} flop.

The {k-Hearts} turn initially made Dogra think he had a flush draw but Speranza had made quad kings, leaving Dogra drawing dead.

The {8-Hearts} completed the board. Dogra, who was left with around 20,000 chips in his stack, would bust shortly afterward.
