Welcome to PokerNews' Day 2 coverage of the 2013 PokerStars.net APPT Seoul.
After eight levels, the starting field of 222 players to down to just 85 hopefuls following both Day 1 sessions. On top of the chip counts in Mike Kim with 179,300, well out in front of his nearest competitor. Rounding out the top five (and the only five players with six-figure stacks) are Chane Kampanatsanyakakorn (134,500), Ben Richardson (111,600), Manami Hayamizu (104,800), and Wang Ping Yuan (102,400).
Notables still in the field include WSOP bracelet holders Naoya Kihara (88,700) and Foster Hays (85,500), as well as Jordan "JWPRODIGY" Westmorland (70,200), Casey Kastle (58,100), and Xuan Liu (53,500).

Jing Zhang opened to 2,800 before the flop and Xuan Liu called. The flop brought and Liu checked over to her opponent.
Zhang continued for 4,500 and Liu tanked for about thirty seconds before sliding out a check-raise to 11,400. Zhang three-bet all in and Liu snapped her off, rolling over . Zhang heaved a sigh as she showed merely king-high with .

We got to the table to find a completed board of . With well over 40,000 already in the middle, John Kim checked over to Andrei Kaigorodtcev who bet 13,000 from the button.
Kim announced a raise all in which was a bet for all of Kaigorodtcev's chips. Kaigorodtcev instantly snapped him off and Kim threw his hand to the muck. Kim tried to muck but tournament staff made him show his cards ().
Kaigorodtcev rolled over for aces full of kings and was able to score a huge double to about 120,000. Kim, on the other hand, has fallen to about 25,000.
